Accreditation and Qualifications

CARF Accreditation

Following a recent survey, Easterseals Midwest was accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) -- an international nonprofit organization that reviews and grants accreditation for people with developmental disabilities -- for a period of three years for the following services:

  •     Child and Youth Services
  •     Community Housing
  •     Community Integration
  •     Family Services
  •     Host Family Services
  •     Respite Services
  •     Supported Living
  •     Supports for Children with Autism
  •     Supports for Adults with Autism
  •     Community Employment Services: Job Development
  •     Community Employment Services: Job Supports
  •     Community Employment Services: Job-Site Training
  •     Employment Planning Services
  •     Employment Transition Services

Governance Standards were applied during the survey. Easterseals Midwest is the first provider in the state of Missouri accredited for its autism services through CARF International.

"This achievement is an indication of your organization's dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence."
-- Brian J. Boon, Ph.D., President/CEO in CARF accreditation letter
