Exciting things are happening in the Training Department! Nine families from across Southeast Missouri have already participated in ESMW’s two-week intensive parent training program since January of this year! Easter Seals Midwest’s training programs continue to deliver life-long change for individuals and families. The focus of ESMW’s training programs is to empower parents to take an active role in their child’s individualized treatment program. Components of training include structured hands-on workshops followed by modeling and guided sessions in the home or on-site. Families and caregivers have the opportunity to learn about autism and their child’s specific behavior and communication needs in a variety of situations and environments. A variety of training options, listed below, continue to be available to meet the ongoing needs for existing, new and future clients. Please contact Rachel Masters, autism training specialist, at 573-339-9300 to discuss any questions or to schedule your next training!
