Autism services in the Kansas City area are available in Clay, Jackson and Platte counties. Services may also be available in other nearby counties on a case-by-case basis; contact us if you are interested in receiving services and are not living in one of these counties.
The autism services that are available through Easter Seals Midwest's Kansas City office include:
- Assessments (communication, occupational, physical therapy)
- Therapy services (speech-language, occupational, physical, social skills groups)
- Training services (parent education and training program, group workshops)
- Consultation services (in-services/presentations; observations at schools, churches, etc.; school/IEP supports)
Funding for our programs may be available for eligible individuals through the Missouri Department of Mental Health-Division of Developmental Disabilities. In addition, families living in Clay County may have funding opportunities available for them through the generosity and commitment of the Developmental Disabilities Resources Board (DDRB) of Clay County. Services also may be funded through First Steps, insurance, private pay or other county boards. In order to get started with Easter Seals Midwest's autism services in Kansas City, contact your support coordinator through the Department of Mental Health right away and request a referral.
