The most critical years of your child’s development occur during the first five years of life. Easter Seals Midwest's innovative early education center is here to help lay the foundation for lifelong learning success. We incorporate an early childhood curriculum and innovative technology into your child’s learning environment under the direction of highly qualified and licensed teachers.
In addition to providing high-quality learning opportunities, we specialize in the care of children with special health needs and/or developmental delays. The early education center offers a variety of services—such as physical, speech and occupational therapies—in addition to providing customized care for children with autism. We understand that every child needs individualized care, and we develop a plan for each child based on the family's and child’s goals.
At our center-based preschool program, children grow in an environment rich with play-based learning activities that are designed to bring out each child’s individual strengths. Children with and without disabilities, from birth to five years old, learn and play together.
Our CARF-accredited and NAEYC-accredited early education center offers:
Early Head Start and Head Start
Generous funding for our early education center is provided, in part, by the federal Early Head Start and Head Start programs, which promote the school readiness of children (birth to five years old) from families that meet income-eligibility requirements. As an Early Head Start and Head Start provider, we are pleased to offer comprehensive services to support the mental, social and emotional development of children. In addition to our center-based education services, Head Start programs, like ours, encourage
the role of parents as their child’s first, most important teachers.
Head Start also provides support for families by giving parents the opportunity to participate in the Parent Partnership. This program helps parents identify and achieve their goals. Parents also are involved in decision-making in the Parent Committee, Policy Committee and Policy Council.
